'Dark Knight' shooting a staged U.S. Gov't plot?

The early morning on Friday July 20 in Aurora, Colorado, James Holmes, armed with a shotgun, an automatic rifle, and a handgun, entered a movie theater during a showing of the “Dark Knight” and opened fire. The shooting was the cause of much hysteria and confusion. When the admitted gunman turned himself in only minutes later, more questions began flying than bullets. The Internet is rife with speculation that the U.S. government somehow had a hand in this horrific bloodshed.

Perhaps the magnitude of the loss of life and the sudden violence perpetrated lends itself to seeking a more substantial target to blame than one deranged young man. Certainly this senseless brutality by a seemingly normal guy-next-door is a hard pill to swallow. Still, given the history of this nation’s proclivity towards scandal and cover-up, it is easy to see how some people give credence to such a possibility.
Too many occurrences do not add up. At the time of the shooting, James Holmes was an unemployed medical student at the University of Colorado, pursuing a PhD in neuroscience.  How does an unemployed college student afford the expensive weaponry and tactical gear, and where does he get the training to use it? This is a valid question proffered by Mike Adams of NaturalNews.com:
"How does an unemployed medical student afford all the complex weapons gear, bomb-making gear, "flammable" booby trap devices, ammunition, multiple magazines, bullet-proof vest, groin protection, ballistic helmet, SWAT uniform and all the rest of it?""A decent AR-15 rifle costs $1,000 or more all by itself. The shotgun and handgun might run another $800 total. Spare mags, sights, slings, and so on will run you at least another $1,000 across three firearms. The bullet-proof vest is easily another $800, and the cost of the bomb-making gear is any body's guess. With all the specialty body gear, ammunition, booby-trap devices and more, I'm guessing this is at least $20,000 in weapons and tactical gear, much of which is very difficult for civilians to get in the first place."
As part of the attack, Holmes painted his hair red and referred to himself as "The Joker," one of the arch enemies in the DC Comics-inspired Batman movie series.  Holmes wore bullet-proof attire yet he peacefully surrendered to police after the shooting, and subsequently warned authorities that his apartment was booby-trapped. Why would a shooter, hell-bent on "killing everyone," casually surrender to police then warn them of his booby-trapped apartment? Such a question implies a level of sanity in an otherwise deranged mind.
The argument is that this is a government ploy to bolster support for the upcoming U.N. vote on the “global small arms treaty” which could extrapolate to American citizens losing their right to bear arms. Ridding our constitutional right to bear arms is the first step in the government gaining complete control over all U.S. citizens, as people would lose their ability to defend themselves.  The gun debate and the Obama Administration vowing to overhaul gun control is proof that our rights are quickly being stripped away. Was this shooting the first step in the process of complete government takeover? Will the New World Order come into fruition?
   Only time will tell.
